7-1 Billy Davies 8-1Steve McClaren 8-1 Lee Clarke 8-1 Dave Jones 10-1 Warren Joyce 10-1 Iain Dowie (my god NO) 10-1 saun O driscoll 12-1 Brain Laws 12-1 Ole Solskjaar 12-1 Roy Keane Well no one who I really fancy. I saw Steve Clarke assistant at Liverpool mentioned he would be my choice. Another annoying thing about this mess is I need a new user name?
Just shows how little bookies really know, putting Billy Davies at the top of the list andhaving Dowie on the list at all.
I mentioned dowie on another thread just joking around, but AP apparently thinks a lot of him, this is where we find out what Adam thinks of the fans , 20,000 of us saying no but he reveals dopey as our new manager, I guess it'll be in his cv how he saved Pearson a million quid during his short stint, please anyone but dowie. Lol
If Hull are really serious about getting a young 'up and coming' manager I can't possibly see anybody better than Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, as has been mooted on other threads. He's just won the Norwegian title with Molde, a first ever for the club and I would expect that he has ambitions to eventually manage in England. Indeed his name has been widely bandied around that sometime in the (probably) distant future he could even be Manchester United supremo. Obviously he will need to cut his teeth at a lower level and I think that the Tigers would, at this moment, be the ideal starting point for him. A team half full of youngsters that he knows pretty well from Carrington and who I'm sure would jump through hoops for him, a team only points away from a play off place with a game in hand. Almost certainly he will be in close contact with SAF and with Joycey also there will get plenty of positive feedback from Old Trafford if we were to make him an offer. Okay, maybe he will cost a bit more than other fledgling managers who have been put in the frame for the job, but then again maybe he wouldn't....I can't really see Norwegian football paying big bucks'. Either way, if the club are really serious about wanting to get to the 'promised land' I think they're going to have to bite the bullet and splash the cash. Please don't take this as a slur on our benefactor, I really can't say enough about what he has already done for us, I just hope that for the want of a few extra shekels we don't make the same mistake in looking for a cheap and untried option as we did when Taylor left us for his 'promised land'.
Considering the fact that most of our players are English, it would be fairly annoying for them with him being foriegn.
dowie - was not given the time, he had an impossible task after the tanned media whore f**ked up our season. i actually would not be dishappy if dowie was appointed. considering who else we can get - Keane, Davies, Brown he would be head and shoulders over those 3
Don't say that about TWFs hero! Dowie was highly rated initially as a manager but when he was with us came over as a bit of a plonker to be honest, I'm sure we could do better.
I think he spoke really good English, almost with a mancunian accent, I might be wrong, but worth a punt.
