I have it from a good source that Clayton is going in exchange for Mills and Beckford!! Be a good deal?
Be a fantasy deal. Leicester City aren't stupid enough to let both those players go for so little after what they paid. Either way, we couldn't "afford" the wages for Mills OR Beckford, let alone both.
Well that`s what the man in the Filey newsagent told me and he said it was a good sauce. However he did have a Scots accent? Nostradamus Blobby had a weekend in Primrose Valley?
Farsley - Please tell me this isn't your "good" source http://www.ja606.co.uk/articles/viewArticle/114498
Assuming the bit about us swapping players that cost us millions for a 500K player is true, which to be honest is as hard to swallow as a puke sundae - The problem we have with offloading players that don't fit into Pearson's plans is wages - They earn so much with us they would likely as not have to take a massive pay cut to move to other clubs, especially ones with strict pay structures in place - I understand Leeds, or Bates has just such a limit
So you won't pay 9k p/w for Clayton but you'll pay double to each of Mills and Beckford who have been distinctly average this season? Anyway, I'd want money + Clayton for Mills + Becks.
I read the same story this morning, the guy who wrote it said a strong rumour but even he himself wrote it off describing Clayton as a decent player who had a mediocre season being swapped for two players that cost 9 million between them as not adding up. Although Mills and Beckford arent wanted i think we value them more then that. They still both a decent value in the transfer market. Its just the wages which will put people off. I would quite happily swap Beckford for Clayton but if you want Mills aswell you would need to throw in about 2-3M with it or Snodgrass
