the preferred bidders are to be sued by the administrator if they do not pay argyle's august wages of circ £270k. looks as though brendan guilfoyle administrator is losing patience with p/bidder after being messed about and strung along for 6 months .luckily there is a second bidder in the wings who must be desperate to raise the millions needed. at least they are argyle supporters and not property developers. green army
yeah its getting more and more prevalent now that lots of clubs are struggling, lets hope its a good outcome for them!!
sadly plymouth are on the rack. the administrator lost his court case against the preferred bidder and the situation is that unless all the managrment, staff and players waive their pay for august, brendan guilfoyle will have no option but to liquidate argyle. it is that serious
today is the final final day for the consortium to pay up. they were supposed to sign contracts 14.6.11. with the stockmarket crash and banks back in the mire one wonders where the money is coming from. poor old argyle
raising cash i think, but includes leader of the council who has a genuine interest in the club. the leader of the consortium heaney owns truro city and it is now rumoured he has truro city and some of the players up for sale so he can push argyle deal and make money stripping assetts that is every thing bar the stadium. it is high time the fa/fl investigated directors over past years and the latest alleged shady deal. their captain fletcher who equalised against shrews has not been paid since december apart from handouts. there is a good way to admin a club ant this one the admin man has been made to look an idiot. come on green army, do not give, put brendan guilfoyle the admin man on the wing today and see how fit he is after languishing in a plush plymouth hotel for 6 months, whilst every one at the club is on handouts. it is disgraceful and the football league are acting as pontius pilate
Basically, the Pilgrims are knee, no make that shoulder deep in Doggy Doo, and could face the dreaded winding up should they drop out of the League I fear.
sadly if the consortium pulls the plug, and the consortium in the wings have not raised the alleged 6 million required, the admin man may be istructed to liquidate. it is as serious as that for argyle. positively definite last deadline friday 26.8.11 and this will be about the 8th deadline. they must be having a laugh with the admin man. ridsdale has been given 7 days or else, the admin brendan guilfoyle will turn to the other consortium, the leader of this, businessman james brent has expressed difficulty meeting the admin terms. the amount required to save argyle has gone from 4 million to near 6 million, most of this will go on backpay and admin charges.
I think this means we lose a point if they go into liquidation and other clubs who they have played will also lose any points. Don't know how it fully plays out, does anyone else?
