I am really not a knocker of The Echo and feel some are over sensitive about their articles, but this really is a piece about a non-story. Seems that Saints want to change the Leihberr Lounge to a buffet meal rather than plated meal, presumably to increase numbers at a cheaper price. So they offered an upgrade to boxes which aren't selling well..some have accepted and the ones who didn't want to move have been given refunds of part of cost. Saints have obviously found that corporate isn't selling as well as they hoped and are making adjustments. Don't know why the Echo had to make a big deal out of it.
Clearly we are desperately cost cutting and on the verge of going bankrupt! Now where is my Samurai sword!
http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/9973963.Saints_back_down_over_corporate_reshuffle/ It amazes me how short some peoples memories are, the Nicola Cortese knockers have conveniently forgotten what he has done for the Club and only react to gossip, misinformation and the rubbish posted on Twitter sites.
Is it correct that you can't buy soft drinks on the concourse? Being a white wine girl myself, I had no idea.
Do you get the feeling that somehow the Club is losing it a bit with the supporters, little information comes our way and there is not much facility for telling the Club what we we want. I have used the contact the Club facility, but never ever received an acknowledgement, let alone a reply. I still do not like the OS site.
One area the club has got it wrong is the problem of serving customers refreshments at half time. I get a drink when I arrive and don't bother because of the queues...I think the concourses were built too small in the first place. Personally, I hate people leaving early to get a drink because commonsense would tell you not to bother. Go a couple of hours without a drink. But that's me...a lot of people want refreshment and want to pay for it. The club is failing the supporter and losing money by doing so.
If the team was still winning games like in the last few seasons, then there wouldnt be all this rubbish going round. Real supporters support. Certian types of fan just turn up for the glory and moan when they dont get it. Oh and the echo can go play with themselves, its crazy for a local paper to be so anti- the local team as they appear to be.
As an occasional user of our Saints hospitality facilities in the past, the huge hike in price from either £40 or £75 per person (bronze or silver packages) the entry level is now Gold priced at £125+vat which when you are buying two or four packages is rather too much to stomach. Added to that I have heard nothing but bad stories about the quality of the food, limited bar facilities and poor services doesn't give too much encouragement to nearly double my spend NC sort this out!
Sounds like something else that needs sorting out, my pension won't run to it otherwise I would give it bash.
