Spotted this. Noted that the alleged offences appear to have nothing to do with LUFC takeover ....

GFH.jpg

Also, it's moved a step further ...

Adam Pope ‏@APOPEY 9h
#lufc Dubai Police have confirmed to BBC that the allegations of fraud & embezzlement "has been referred to the Public prosecution ."

So if it is Leeds related, but not to do with sale, what else could it be?
£6M is a lot of money to syphone off in 1 year - and surely it would have been picked up before now!!
Only thing I can think of is he has sold more forward ST Sales to Ticketus, the shares that were sold to Noorudin, or the loans that occured on a regular basis to cover wages - all of these (apart from future ST sales) were common knowledge to all and sundry ages ago, so why wait till now to press charges?

Either way he is a sitting duck as he is in their manor now (crafty coonts getting him back there on false pretences) and will get a lengthy jail term - under their law though, he becomes a free man once all debts have been settled!!

Thing is, if Haigh is really guilty, And of course we don't know yet, why would he even think of going there? I suppose it could suggest total innocence, massive stupidity, or supreme confidence that no one would work it out......... This one will be interesting to follow

I think he was over confident he got too big for his boots and believed in his own hype a bit like me I suppose thinking I can make a difference at ER with advising them on how to strengthen the team!

Some details emerging ....

Phil Hay ‏@PhilHayYEP 24m
An intriguing side-point from the Dubai court documents covering GFH's allegations against David Haigh...

This link gives up 3 files ... https://difccourts.visionhall.eu/?Start=search#:10

This 'Particulars of Claim' one is a bit of a read, but whether it's a true case or a fit-up, it's most certainly comprehensive!

I can't open the other 2 files - wrong version of Adobe. Can someone upload the files? I haven't a clue how to.

Seems to all be related to alleged fabrication of invoices. Not particularly football related as far as I can tell, and probably not something which affects the club now. All the (allegedly) fraudulent invoices appear to have been paid by GFH. Which is odd, given their inability to pay most of the other bills... :bandit:

Like the humour, Ken! Some of the invoices are for 'detective' work e.g. they had Cellino checked out in October. Yes, October! Throws up a load of questions, doesn't it?

I just wonder if this alleged $5m fraud provided funds for Tory Boy's loan to LUFC? Might have a bearing on the winding up order. Who knows?

You couldn't make this up. If it was a tv series, everyone would have switched off by now as they'd lost the plot. Literally.

Agreed. We went beyond "Footballers' Wives" territory about two months ago when Cellino found the cameras. And now rapidly heading towards Twin Peaks... :bandit:

http://www.arabianbusiness.com/excl...jailed-former-leeds-united-chief-552836.html?

Sheds a bit more light on things, and I'm aware that Cellino's lawyers have been in touch with Haigh's sports company to ask them to rescind the winding up order. Haigh was an employee and not that highly paid, but somehow he got his hands on enough cash to try and buy the club from his owners. the alleged fraud may have nothing to do with the Leeds sale, but he got his cash from somewhere and my suspicion is bates was still pulling the strings and used haigh as a mouthpiece, who then dropped haigh in the **** with his former employer so that he could step in and take charge of the club as haigh owed him money ...... Dick Francis novel this <ok>

Seems to me Haigh has been in bed with Bates from the start.

Bucks after selling the club and then getting binned as president, he lends haigh cash to become CEO and then drops him in it with the arabs so that he can step into the big chair again and come back as the saviour again. he would love that. If Bates finishes up with any interest in the club again, well they can fook off because that will be me done with it

Thats the way I see it Doc <ok>

Everyone around Bates business deals usually fall on the sword but Bates always seems to walk away as nothing sticks.

I'm sure a few of his business partners have ended up in the nick after doing business with him. Haigh just looks another mug now to me.

I think you'll find that Bates has been in bed with Cellino from the start not Haigh, and between them they have completely shafted him - he probably suspected as much, which is why he put the camera's in the boardroom - wouldn't be at all suprised if Cellino sneaks Bates back onto the baord as soon as Noorodin et al have been dispatched <ok>

Another link with Cellino and Bates.

A post from January when it first emerged that Cellino's hat was in the ring
23 Jan 2014 09:09:43
There is a Cessna Citation registration I-BEDT (Italian Reg) parked up at LBA believed to be the aircraft that Massimo Cellino is using. He is looking to team up with DH and Flowers and buy the remaining 10%.

"23 Jan 2014
I work at Leeds Bradford and that is correct. The multiflight staff told us the private jet was owned by the new owner of lufc!"

"According to a couple of aircraft databases, that aircraft is owned by a company called Aliven who lease private jets to 24Jet, BI leasing & Euraviation"

What Company did Bates have the Jet contract with??
