Well nigh on 40 years of consistently entertaining television. This must be up there with some of the finest British comedy and probably has another forty years in front of it. My favourite over the years has been Cleggy. Such a wise old sage.
My favourite episode is the one where Compo injects himself with smack then mugs two teenage girls at knifepoint. Classic.
This It's the next scene I love... when he does a wattery ****e in their handbags whilst ****ing away furiously sniffing betty's stockings.
It's up there with the episode of Goodnight Sweetheart when Gary rapes the woman during an air raid then slips off to the 1990's with no-one the wiser.
I probably would have watch both those shows if they actually had ground-breaking, real-life situations like we've just described. I'm going to write a comedy based loosely on Quantum Leap. But instead of being a time-traveller helping people it'll be about a sociopathic rapist and his quest to single handedly destroy the feminist movement by sexually assaulting notable suffragettes.
I was an extra on one episode and took a **** in one of Compo's wellies. It made little differencet to the scruffy little mong.
Gambol should at least be given an audition for the main role although I would draw the line at putting him on the 'casting couch' given his ****ting habit.
