From 42 minutes in there's quite a detailed analysis of Saints which includes Dave Merrington giving his opinion on whether Saints can finish in the top 4 (and challenge for the title). Definitely worth a listen.

    Motson and Merrington are funny.

Merrington - Let me tell ya something. Interviewer - Go on then Dave (nudges person next to her)

Interviewer - John, Will they finish Top 4
John Motson - Yes I think they've got a great chance to finish top 6

Nice interview though and love Claridge. He should be the pundit on MOTD and Fottball League Show. He would love to do both.

Damn..! I had been meaning to turn the radio on and eventually got around to it with 15 minutes to go. I too love Claridge. Talks such sense, and does it with immense enthusiasm. I shall have to go to the iPlayer radio and have a wallow.

Steve Claridge is after all from Titchfield and although has been identified as more of a Pompey fan, he grew in at the end of an era when it was OK and affordable to watch Pompey one week and Saints the next, so has developed a support for us particularly since 2009 when our recovery started and a plan put into place where we could start to achieve our potential. After all, I am, and he is, all for our local clubs doing well as it puts Hampshire on the map!!!!

Maybe I'm imagining it, but I'm pretty sure I remember Claridge saying he takes his kids to SMS.
