For me we have to get either Maynard or Yakubu

    I agree

What about Shane Long? If last bid is rejected?

Not really. The bigger coup was Earnshaw IMO.

Billy Sharp will turn out to be the buy of the season, if he moves to a top club. I wouldn't mind a punt on ebanks-blake myself.

If we sign Maynard and Waggy goes to other way we are going to need another striker I think as that would only leave us with Nugent, Vassell, Maynard and Howard. Only 2 of them will score goals, try and get someone in on loan

£5m and £3m in add-ons rejected from WHU, hes not worth more than £8m

If we'd had Earnshaw and Gally supporting Nugent i'd be happy. Proved that he is a good goalscorer in this league.

Yakubu on a season long loan would be the next option, if hes going to cost too much permanently.

Waggy looks to be on the way anyway, so I'd argue we need 2 strikers if (when) this is turned down.

I think I`d prefer Ebanks Blake over all the rest.

Maybe we should have a poll?

43`C round this pool btw...and the wireless is sporadic.

Isn't Ebanks-Blake a regular player for Wolves? Why would he be on the move?

If Waggy does go as part of the Maynard deal we should stick in a buy back clause in there

I know far too much about Wolves due to my horror of a stepson.

Wolves have fletcher and Doyle who are both ahead of SEB and the accepted knowledge if SEB doesn't plat well in a 4-5-1.

He is still a hugely popular player at the Wolfies due to their promotion season though. My stepson has SEB on his Wolves shirt. It will piss them off big time and this might be clouding my judgement!

If we are playing in a 4-3-3 it will often need to be a 4-5-1 when we're defending, meaning we'd need a striker who'd hold his own in that situation. Can you elaborate on why he doesn't suit it?

I think Ebanks-Blake is just a poor man Yakubu, but that doesnt make him a bad player. I would have SEB but not as the main man. Maynard, Nugent, Ebanks-Blake, Vassell. That would do nicely

I cant see Sven being able to sign a player we havent be linked with. Sven+£+agents means its impossible for us to keep deals quite

I agree about Billy sharp! think he could score 20+ goals in our side, Get Manard in Jan for 2mill when he has proved his fitness
if he has not signed a contract by then, Bristol will snap our hands off to get a deal.
