    From SAFC.com:
'Sunderland’s Barclays Premier League game against Everton at the Stadium of Light will now take place on Wednesday 11 May at 7.45pm.

The game, which was originally scheduled to take place on Saturday 12 March, has been changed due to Everton's involvement in the Emirates FA Cup.

Any tickets already purchased will remain valid for the new date.'

We could possibly be playing both cup finalists the week before the final which could be a good or bad thing. On the one hand they would not want to get injured on the other trying to impress for selection

I definitely want an Everton Watford final. Any hope of winning something will be on that cup final. No way will the players want to miss out. They will be bottling tackles the lot. 3 games in a week? Bring it on.

Didn't we play three in eight days in 1973? I think we played Orient away on the Monday, Leeds at Wembley on Saturday, then Cardiff away on Monday after that.

Then we brought the Cup home on Tuesday, and got stuffed 3-0 at home to QPR on the Wednesday (hardly surprising after 10 days like that! Not that anybody gave a sh*t anyway. <laugh>)

At least we'll know exactly what we need with 2 games to go. Other teams won't.

We could have an scenario still available to us.

I was referring to the op in regards to the back logging of fixtures at the end of the season. Did even read your comment fella, was skimming at the time.

Its simple beat Newcastle, beat Norwich and we are safe. Looking at the stats Palace look in a lot of trouble too, potentially us and the mags could stay up, ideal for us as its 6 points next season ;)

"and got stuffed 3-0 at home to QPR on the Wednesday"

The FA Cup was on display back from the pitch, and Dave Thomas miss-hit a pass that hit the Cup and knocked it off the table. That got a big cheer....
