Firstly, sorry for starting a new thread, but just had to mention the QPR fans in the Lass O' Gowrie pub in Manchester, prior to the match on Saturday. What a fantastic set of fans. Spent a couple of hours in the pub and every single one of them were brilliant. They were a credit to the club and it was a pleasure to be in their company. I wish you all the best for this and future seasons.

There's a good bond between us and city. No idea why it started, but I remember some good banter during the early 90's. We've always helped each other out when need be - pollock, last season....
I know a lot of R's weren't happy when we blew our lead and city won the title, but every time I see those images, I feel genuinely happy for them. Maybe it's cos city are from Manchester.

Mark Hughes connection? SWP? After we gifted them the Premier League title over arch rivals United?

There's also the tenuous link with the Bournemouth style red and black striped second strips. That plus City's 'small club' status compared to United over the years before now.

Personally, always had a bit of a soft spot for both those reasons - but main roadly (ok, sorry!), the quality of their side that won the league in the latter part of the 60s - Bell, Lee, Summerbee, Book et al - and old Joe Mercer. Great team.
