LASLEY went right through Matthews, despite what bitter hurting Gordon Smith says. Out for three months. Is it time that, since refs like Brines won't, clubs protect themselves and their assets by claiming compensation from opponents or the SFA?
How many players have sued fellow professionals for loss of earnings due to a bad tackle...or a malicious one? How many have won their case? It's a game of football, a contact sport so players get hurt, even John Kennedy dropped his legal case because he had no chance of winning, and that was as vindictive a foul as you are ever likley to see. I don't like Lasley, I think he's a dirty bastard but I sincerely doubt he meant to injure Matthews. Case closed.
The other thing that annoyed me on Saturday , izzie could / should have been sent off, but Brines gave him the benefit of doubt , wee Stuart Mccall went in a rage jumping up and down like a mad one then gave the fourth official abuse .If our manager had done that it would be front page storey but its seemed to have been missed by the media
It was a tough tackle...I doubt malicious. If players start taking out claims against other players for tackles that leave them injured...unintentionally...then games a bogey.
Also, all players are insured...at top clubs...so, there is no loss if earnings for the player and the club
This is lunacy! Those tackles happen in every game, it debatable if it was even a foul. I'm still unconvinced after seeing the replays.
I was at the game , last night I popped into Livingston to watch our under 20 team a hard earned win against 10 man Dunfermline , Balde played and to be honest was awful , you can see why Lennon ( who was there ) does not play him , he missed 3 sitters with only goalie to beat .
Whilst I can admire your dedication - you do realise there is more to life than a football team?? Perhaps you should expose yourself to events/places/experiences not simply about Celtic Football Club. Just trust me on this suggestion. Im not looking for a debate. If you are happy with that as your life good on you
I was at the ayr , game at somerfield park on sun , day and on the way home i saw some young lads playing world cuppy and two had ranger , s strips on so i stopped by and one of them missed a sitter , no wonder mc'coist doesn#t pick him then i left and stopped at asda for milk and some rangers fan was doing his shooping with the new training , top on so i watched as he did his messages , he started off well but dilly dallied at the veg isles and his choice selction , was poor no wonder mccoist doesn ' t pick him , then i left......
