    1. Charlton Athletic season 1932-33 ... Second Division ... newly updated

    101 Image Intro 1932-33 (1000).png

    2. League position (end of season) ... newly updated

    102 Image Table 1932-33 (1000).png

    3. League position ... match by match ... newly updated

    103 Image Results 1932-33 (1000).png

    Attendance figure notes;

    Home attendance figures given only.
Figures given on dark background are for matches not played on a Saturday.

    4. Starting XI ... match by match (league only) ... newly updated

    104 Image Squad 1932-33 (1000).png

Players are listed in order of appearance during the season.

Colour key for squares in fixtures columns:

Light Blue ................................... Played whole match ( green for goalkeepers. Zero in box means clean sheet)
Light blue fading to black ...... Player retired injured before full time
Light Blue fading to green ..... Player left the field injured but returned later and played the rest of the match
    Yellow ......................................... Player booked *
Red .............................................. Player sent off *
D (in dark green) ...................... Player absent on International Duty

    * As far as I know there were no yellow or red cards back in 1932.
However players could be cautioned or 'booked' by the referee, and ultimately sent off I believe.
Using the colours yellow and red are the easiest way to represent those things on the table.

The 'Total Apps' column will show the total number of professional league games any given player will have played for Charlton at the end of any given season.

Players newly signed for season 1932-33 are highlighted in purple.

    5. Team of the Season 1932-33 ... newly updated

A performance table of the 11 players from Charlton Athletic's 1932-33 squad who played the highest number of league games that season. Each player is rated by the percentage of games won or lost that they played in, compared to the percentage of games won or lost by the whole match-day team throughout the season.

Where a player started every game of the season, that player is included at the top of the table, but their ranking is listed as not applicable - this is because their personal win/lose percentages must be the same as that of the whole team.

    105 Image Team 1932-33 (1000).png

Also, here is a table of the five best performing players of the 1932-33 season
who were not among the 11 who played the most league games.

(minimum 10 first team league starts needed to qualify)

    Thanks, DickPlumb, most kind.
I'll add a few more seasons this evening I expect.

I'm up to 1946-47 as far as creating the tables goes (not including the War seasons, I think I'll do those separately later).
So peacetime seasons up to 46-47 should be available to view soon.

    4. Starting XI ... match by match (league only) ... newly updated

    004 Image Squad 1946-47 (1000).png

Players are listed in order of appearance during the season.

Colour key for squares in fixtures columns:

Light Blue ................................... Played whole match ( green for goalkeepers. Zero in box means clean sheet)
Light blue fading to black ...... Player retired injured before full time
Light Blue fading to green ..... Player left the field injured but returned later and played the rest of the match
    Yellow ......................................... Player booked *
Red .............................................. Player sent off *
D (in dark green) ...................... Player absent on International Duty

    * As far as I know there were no yellow or red cards back in 1946.
However players could be cautioned or 'booked' by the referee, and ultimately sent off I believe.
Using the colours yellow and red are the easiest way to represent those things on the table.

The 'Total Apps' column will show the total number of professional league games any given player will have played for Charlton at the end of any given season.

Players newly signed for season 1946-47 are highlighted in purple.

    5. Team of the Season 1946-47 ... newly updated

A performance table of the 11 players from Charlton Athletic's 1946-47 squad who played the highest number of league games that season.

Also, here is a table of the best performing players of the 1946-47 season
who were not among the 11 who played the most league games.

(minimum 10 first team league starts needed to qualify)

The sentiment is appreciated FHB, but of course much of these posts is based on the work he did.
There is data from other sources too (all online) but these posts would not be possible without extensive reference to Colin's incomparable labours.
