25k a week, no thanks I bet if we had gone for him before qpr were interested his wage demands wouldn't have been that high!
I think if PL had really wanted or needed Lansbury, he would have made a move by now. I could be wrong though. I'd never try to 2nd guess the Messiah.
Absolute rubbish - there is no way Lansbury could be worth 25k a week, even in this day and age of inflated fees and wages!
Typical example of the small club syndrome you lot have! For a Premier League player £25K a week is at the bargain basement end of the pay scale. I don't think all players want to be paid with Delia's Luncheon Vouchers!
If big club syndome means paying beer swilling gippo's ridiculous wages, then I'll prefer to be a small club. As for Lansbury, he is 20 years old and is only in the Arsenal squad because of injuries. I repeat there is no way on this earth he is going to get 25k a week, not even from a desperate QPR!
Think dyers on £20k a week at qpr and last season n'zogbia was wigan's highest paid player at £26k a week so I think £25k a week for Lansbury is highly unlikely
Oh Carra One minute you lot are giving it the big bollocks about being premier league and earning £90Million and then you baulk at paying a player £25K a week! Its just so Norwich! A small club with a small club mentality.
Aren't you fighting to avoid relegation to League 1? Wish we could trade mentalities........NAAAAAAAT.
Until you're in the Premier League JWM, I suggest you don't take the mick out of us being a small club. We've been a bigger club than Ipswich for several years now. We were even getting bigger gates than Ipswich when we were in League 1! Ask yourself if Ipswich could afford to pay a player 25K per week in the unlikely event that they were to be promoted. As NCFCwonky has pointed out, I think you'll find that many clubs even in the PL don't pay some of the massive salaries on offer at the likes of Chelsea and Man City. In the PL there is a huge difference in the incomes of clubs in the top four compared to teams such as Bolton, Wigan, Norwich, Swansea etc. Just look at the £400 Million Etihad sponsorship deal at Man City. With that kind of income, it's not surprising that they can offer some of their players such obscene amounts of money to play for them.
And take a leaf out of your guys books? Finidi George's wage demands certainly broke the piggy bank for you lot
Don't think I can add to what's already been said by my fellow Premier League club supporters, now toddle off to your lower league forums.
Actually it's quite rich seeing a scum fan talk about finances, considering their two bob cheap outfit couldn't even afford to pay the St Johns Ambulance a couple of years ago.
Exile, I think Lansbury made it perfectly clear to interested clubs earlier in the summer that he wanted to fight for a place at Arsenal, but seeing as he hasn't been ensured by Wenger that he will play, he is now, apparently, looking to move elsewhere. I would love to see Lansbury back at the club, but at £25K a week he can bugger off to QPR for all I care - a player who isn't at Norwich for the football is NOT Lambert's type of player, and hence, isn't at Norwich at all.
Haven't we already seen that he's all about the football. He fitted very well into the squad last year. As I said before £25k a week doesn't sound right. If N'Zogbia was getting around that a week last year I doubt Lansbury would be earning 3/8 of that!
