Now is the chance to help ruin SKY Mrs lalala. Get the Turkish sky dish up without delay and start showing football in the bar for free. I was so chuffed to hear this decision and consider it to be the best news of the day. One up the jacksie for the big boys. I know it won't ruin them really but nonetheless it will make them extremely unhappy which is sort of ok as well.

How can these superstars buy a crust or two if Sky will not be able to pay them hundreds and thousands of monopoly money EACH WEEK.........It won't be worth them throwing a wobbly for maybe only a meagre 50000 a WEEK............How dare this Lady landlord upset the gravy train........if we're not careful these super fairies will have to rough and tumble it with the real football world.............and we can't let that happen...........can we !!!

A rhetorical question - IF Plymouth were in the Premier League your attitudes would be the same regarding SKY money?

Yes....Yes......Yes........living beyond your means is not the way to live your life.............the problem about the Premiership is the really big clubs don't belong to the local fans anymore...........the fear of not being in Europe anymore becomes like a noose around their neck.........I would enjoy more the success of a Blackpool type of club,........... two exciting seasons..........one successful....and one exciting and nearly successful.

Agreed on that point Plymborn - IF a club is run properly with a sensible (whatever that means) wage structure then life in the PL need not be boom and bust, thanks to the parachute payments are of massive assistance - saying that I do NOT think that parachute payments are at all acceptable - reward for failure!!

Sensible clubs plan for relegation, never thought I woul live long enough to see Stoke in the PL, lot's of up's and lot's of downs, but I would rather see the beat Liverpool than losing 6-1 against Leyton Orient in the old 3rd Division, standing on railway sleepers on the terrace on a cold and wet February, never thought they would stay in the PL either.

Finally, I bet those Blackpool fans enjoyed their season in the sunshine - just like Swansea this year.

    All the best

Oldnickyb, Stoke seems to be one of these clubs run properly. And you are right about parachute payments they are a reward for failure. Being relagated should be price to pay for results and that is not me having a go at clubs that go down ( look at Argyle). These payment just help PL relagated clubs yoyo between the championship and the land of milk and honey.

I can categorically state that my opinion of Sky would not change one jot no matter where Argyle were. I hate the money and influence this TV company weild at football and it is in my opinion the sole reason clubs spend outside their means in the first place. Parachute payments are also wrong and should be abolished totally. To give three clubs sheds loads of money compared to the income of other clubs in the same league is never fair or just. It encourages overspending to compete by clubs in a lower league which is not healthy for the game. My stance on this will never change and I doubt anyone could persuade me to change that opinion either.
