(CBC) While seeing people pedalling bikes down Saint John streets might be a common sight for the city's police department, seeing a man pedalling a bike while carrying a brand new kayak is not. "You don't see that at 10:30 at night often," said acting Sgt. Tracy Simmons. As a result of the Saturday night sighting, patrol officers stopped the 38-year-old man after they saw him on his bike with the kayak. They discovered the kayak had just been stolen from the Canadian Tire on Fairvale Boulevard. The man has been charged with break and enter, possession of stolen property and breach of probation. Simmons said the man is scheduled to appear in court on the charges at a later date. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/new-brunswick/kayak-thief-getaway-foiled-mode-transportation-1.3767815
