They are dropping like flies, first Ruddy, then Barry, now Lampard. Will Woy have anyone left to select come the start of the tournament? It could spell the end of Lampard's England time since he will probably be too old for the next World Cup so this would have been his last big tournament. A blow for Hodgson, but, hey, we have Jordan Henderson as his replacement. Jordan who? I hear the cries!
I don't know a great deal about Hernderson, not seen him a great deal, but just looked at some stats, and he's scored almost as many as Carroll this season (Henderson 4, Carroll 6). Doesn't say much but atleast there are goals in him.
spot on mate!!!, my team from the players he has selected would be: Hart Johnson Terry Cahill Cole Chamberlain Parker Gerrard Young Welbeck Defoe (Rooney when his ban is done) He will probably play Carroll up front on his own and we probably wont get out of the group. Also I cant see Chamberlain getting a game because of his age (what a load of ****)!!!!!. If we play Downing and Milner we might aswell book the flight home now because Downing is muck and Milner has no pace or skill to beat a man.
I feel sorry for Lampard but also think Gerrard all round is a better player my own oppinion of course. As for the rest well I fell asleep during the Norway game i was so bored with it. Said this before anyone was selected and I say it again. Why not do what the German's tried. Send the majority of our U21s, sounds stupid? Maybe but I NEVER thought we could with the Euro's anyway. WHY not give the younger player's a chance, at least they get the experience of playing BIGGER more important games. Milner, Barry, Parker, Downing, Carroll? Only Parker I rate as good enough for an England shirt. Woy may as well have taken Crouch and Delap and just launched it. I think we will stuggle to qualify for the next stage given those now available. At least we have Joe Hart to stop em and Rooney after his ban who CAN Score NOT at all confident of our chances tbh. Henderson? I'm sure that MOST Liverpool fans didn't rate the guy. He did well at Sunderland but for England? Let's all hope he's a sensation but I doubt it. And PLAY Chamberlain, he plays without fear luv seeing that guy run with the ball, just like his father did for STOKE City.
