Is anyone else starting to feel like the reason Lampard isnt getting a contract extension is because he is helping create a bad atmosphere in the dressing room? Or some other behind the scenes reason?

Because lets face it, he has been in good form lately and is still amongst the best Attacking midfielders in the league, despite his age.
I am starting to think the CFC board are thinking, "Nah, we want rid of this guy for a fresh start in the dressing room".

You are probably right. However I am now starting to think that after getting a couple of decent Managers shafted, the Board are now worried it's THEM that are being threatened by JT and Lamps.

Lampard's replacements are already ready and will be back from loan for next season. He helped get rid of AVB - and Roman isn't one for dropping a grudge. The AVB sacking was highly embarrassing for him, especially as it made Ancelotti's sacking look mental. I mean, I can't say if Lampard was really at the helm of getting rid of AVB because I don't know, but importantly, it's likely, and reported he was - so he's out. I don't think form was ever going to be enough, and Ambramovich isn't sentimental.

The problem is, JT and Lamps hold the trump cards--and as much as I appreciate their service to the club, that does not allow them to dictate the forward direction of the club! As a former national hero once said "Jaw, jaw.. not War, war"!
