Transfer Rumours Lamina Bid Rejected

Newcastle have had an offer turned down for Marseille youngster Mario Lemina, according to L'Equipe.



The Magpies are still looking to sign their first player of the summer since Steve McLaren's arrival but have been rebuffed in an apparent €6m bid for the versatile 21-year old.



Lemina featured at right-back on occasion last season but is primarily a holding midfield player, making 23 Ligue 1 appearances last season, of which 10 were as a substitute under Marcelo Bielsa.

The young Frenchman has garnered strengths of dribbling, crossing, holding on the ball and tackling from WhoScored and is highly rated in his homeland. In terms of the latter of said characteristics, no teammate completed a tackle more often in France's top-flight last season (every 27.3 minutes).
