We're unbeaten in the league in January in the last 3 years. Remember the christmas slump that used to ruin our season every year?

Thats an excellent point! He does tend to go for the post-christmas push certainly. It's a time where a lot of teams take their eye off the ball and can come unstuck.

Lambert, it would appear, does not allow for such complaicency.

we are slow starters but strong finishers. all bodes well for the rest of the season! mind you, its difficult to tell as at the start of all three seasons we've been adapting to a new division! next season will be interesting to see if we can hit the ground running for once...

i am looking forward to next season with howson and bennett(r) fully integrated and hopefully a fully fit vaughan plus the usual lambert gems newly arrived. possibly a few fans favourites will be on the move . has there ever been a time when so many of the squad are legends or on their way to becoming so.

I think, league one excepted, we've actually started well in the championship and premiership, playing with either players from the league below or new players bedding into the team. Next year we should have a much more settled team, that has proven itself in the prem. they may be from the league below but they are premier footballers now.

Wasn't the mud battle at the cukoo farm in January?

We dont get the January blues do we at all
And this season, all months have been ours - no slumps (yet)

I've looked back over the last couple of seasons on 'footstats' and we've got 60% of our points in the 2nd half of the season, so IF we can maintain that return, we could end up with over 50 points.

I'd settle for anything above 15th!!!!

I must say that one thing that does bode well is the fact that howson and bennett can come in and get game time in a comfortable position and wont have to play hopefully with out the stress of trying to avoid relegation. They will get to enjoy there game time and intergrate into the side!

I also think, imagine our side with the likes of snodgrass and rhodes to call upon, and get naughton on a perm! We would be sending strong signals of our intent to the other clubs in the league that we aint here just for the ride!

The higher we finish with the help from these new signings (Bennett, howson) the more prize Wonga we get, which means we can bid for these Players (like snodgrass) in the summer, it's a win win situation

And will we see James vaughn in the first team this season
