He scored again today! Thats his 15th League goal this season - which makes him the joint top English goal scorer. Place..... Player..... League goals 1........... Lambert......... 15 1........... Lampard........ 15 3........... Walcott.......... 14 4........... Rooney.......... 12 5........... Defoe............ 11 6........... Sturridge....... 11 7........... Nolan............ 10 8........... Gerrard.......... 9 9........... Agbonlahor.... 9 10......... Holt................ 8 11......... Carroll............ 7 12......... Crouch........... 7 He has out-scored every single England forward. Bet he still wont get a call up for England though. He has proved himself. People on MotD and on Soccer Saturday been saying all season that he should get an England call up. Would be a shame though if he didnt get a chance.
Do you regret hounding him out the club I know you got a million for him but you wouldn't have been as low as you are now if u kept him
Silly boy. He was always going to move on....an outstanding player. To answer CJS; it's a disgrace that he hasn't at least made the squad. The best all-round English forward in the Premier League. It's all been said before.
DJ cambell scored 15 in his first season with blackpool. So no I don't think he should be given a call up. I except a good 5-6 of those are penalty's. He is a good player I agree but if he hadn't played for you, You would take no notice.
Exactly, but we have seen him week in week out and is probably the best forward we have ever seen at the club....and that is something considering the forwards we have had over the years
It was actually 13 goals but i think there is a difference in how they both play, Lambert is a team player and has a great assist rate to boot. I don't think he will be called up because he is nearly 30 but i do think he would add something to the England setup given the chance.
Quality player who is a great all-round forward. Deserves a chance for England as there isn't anyone quite like him in the England set up at the moment and I agree that he's the best striker I've seen at the Gas.
the strikers chosen by hodgson for the up coming england games.... carroll, defoe, rooney, sturridge and welbeck their record this season stands at... carroll scored 7 league goals defoe scored 11 league goals rooney scored 12 league goals sturridge scored 11 league goals welbeck scored just 1 league goal. since hodgson selected his squad, carroll as since pulled out due to injury. carroll is the only real big man time of player we had. so would have expected a similar built replacement. maybe lambert who i feel is better than carroll. however hodgson decided to not to select a replacement basically saying he would rather have no one than have this seasons top scoring english striker who has scored more than double that carroll has scored and 14 more than welbeck has scored! just crazy.
