here's an idea... wolves appoint neil warnock who keeps them up at the (considerable) expense of queen's park rangers
Steve Bruce and colin joint favourites for the Wolves job at 6/1. I think manager wise, we're pretty safe this season regardless of who else gets the bullet.
I watched the game yesterday and there was an almost resigned look on McCarthys face that his number was up. Whether he had been given a number of games to improve, who knows. Wolves are one of those clubs that yo-yo and have never established a bridgehead in the Prem. For that reason I don't think their fans can be too harsh on him. But having said that they looked awful and it was like the death throes of a failing team. It reminded me of the Burnley game for NW. I was impressed with Fletcher and Jarvis and they look they kind of players who could play for most clubs including ours.
Lambert to Looserpool when Kenny walks. Think about it, Liverpool-Celtic-Catholic connections. To be honest if PL were to move on (and I don't think he will for a while yet), the likes of Everton, Villa etc wouldn't be much of a step up if you ask me and Wolves would be a step down, but Liverpool ?
Liverpool would be the threat that worries me most. Am not expecting PL to move on as I really think he is loving it here, but if a tempting offer from Pool came in woul dbe very hard to turn down, it is one of the top jobs and he is an ambitious man.
