What kind of a joke story is this from the red tops today?!

Why on earth would a manager leave a team that's just won promotion (for a second year in a row) to the Premier League to move to a team that's just been relegated from the Premier League.

I'm an Ipswich Town fan and as passionate as they come, meaning that in my heart I really don't want Norwich to do well at all. But I have to respect the job that Lambert has done and is doing at your club. He's really onto a winner at Norwich and moving to West Ham is the most ridiculous idea any one has come up with - even a tabloid journalist! Add to this the fact that many managers never manager in the top tier of their league, why would a manager consciously give this up to move to a so called bigger club?

Personally I hope he stays so that the Premier League is better to watch. Especially if Blackpool and Wolves stay up as Lambert, Warnock, Holloway and McCarthy as exciting managers, the last three particularly in interviews.

You're absolutely right Billy, I'm sure there's nothing more than lazy journalism in this! On your other point, Lambert is probably just as entertaining in his interviews, but without an interpreter no one knows what the hell he's saying <laugh>

Can't see it happening for the obvious reason as highlighted as our tractor boy buddy - leave a Premier League club for a Championship club?
If he has no ambition maybe but Lambert is ambitious, if he goes anywhere it will be to a top 5 - 7 team, hopefully not in the immediate future though.

Even Steve McClaren & Martin O'Neill are apparently not interested, and with West Ham £80m in debt, players probably wanting to leaving, do you think would Lambert prefer to stay at a side that has been promoted to the premiership with a possible £90m windfall or go to a relegated side that is £80m in debt and players wanting to leave? I know where I would want to be - West Ham is a poisoned chalice at the moment, whereas Norwich are on the way up. I would want to be at Norwich

What's more interesting to me, is the claim contract talks have stalled. If this is true, why is our board not going the extra mile to hold onto one of the best young managers around?

I've just read this 'news' report and want to thank the journalist for giving me something, football related, to laugh about again.

What complete nonsense! PL has more than proved himself at Carrow Rd and with respect to WHU and their fans, why he would leave the Prem to join the Brady Bunch I doubt even he could answer.
As for the interviews, I'd add Billy Davies and Brendan Rodgers to the above list. I'd happily swap any of the above interview styles for Dour Jones. I doubt he lacks the same passion but christ, I'd like to see it more often.

Anyway, best wishes Canaries (you too Tractor Boy)

I could see West Ham going into freefall from here, they're really going to struggle next year, and £80m debt is a serious amount to write off, their entire squad isn't worth that much!

He's in negotiations with Miroslav Klose at the moment, so he's hardly likely to leave is he??
