Has anyone heard the rumour, that is lambert to stoke for £14million with a player coming the other way?
It's already on several other threads but for a number of reasons it's bullshit! Rickie wants to finish his career here Stoke have Crouch - can't see them as a double act It's in The Sun!
Like Lamballana said, bullsh*t. Can't see us getting 14mil for him at 30years old, and his goals are far too vital to the club. Player rumoured to be coming the other way is Kenwyne Jones, who with 10 goals in 57 appearances for Stoke, is hardly the goal scoring dynamo we require. If it did happen, the club sure as hell better have Ronaldo lined up to replace him, because the fans would take some serious appeasing to let that go!
14 million plus a player they bought for 6 mil, LMFAO. Apparently Norwich were offered 800,000 for Holt in the summer when he wanted away and he has proved himself in the premiership
No idea where that bit of the story has come from, it wasn't in the Sun. Who have made this one up btw.
If, IF there is any shred of truth in this total rubbish, then Lambert will play for England. Why..? Because it has been recognised that he's one of the best CFs currently playing. But, as I wrote, total rubbish [in my opinion, of course]. And the Newbie OP [welcome to the forum] should learn that reading other threads about the movements of Lambert are important, and that such gossip could have been placed in one of those.
Got it at 05.23am this morning by text , Lambert one way Jones the other , I think we are getting a bit of a **** deal to be honest .
£14 million? That is a joke right? If that ever actually happens, Cortese better snap their hands off immediately. £14 million for a guy in their 30s, and may well want to leave in June/July any way (and probably for a fraction of his current value)? Yes please! But yeah, what a load of rubbish. I could completely see Pulis wanting him. But £5 million max. They'd never offer £14 million.
I don't honestly know where 14mill has come from. 3mina207 has made it up because it certainly wasn't in the Sun.
More to the point, have you noticed that the January transfer window is not until January. So Lambert will not be going anywhere for at least ten weeks. And I rather suspect nowhere for a lot longer than that.
