Yeah - like Liverpool need more strikers.....

If he's happy doing a Sidwell (overpaid bench-warmer) then he's not the footballer I took him for.

I think he's a boyhood Liverpool fan and who wouldn't turn down a shot at playing for their heroes? At 32 he won't get another chance. Plus there's the lure of CL football next season.

Looks like Saints are going to have a turbulent Summer

    That is what I thought.
He will be on the bench or loaned out.

I know lambert isn't the best example but what will happen to southhampton is a sad indictment of football at the top level in this country. A young skillful team being broken apart by the elite at the top of the premiership. Shaw Lallana etc being hoovered up by the money. The premiership is increasingly becoming two divisions and it's going to get worse.
Anyway enough doom and gloom. QPR to finish 14th.

Sadly, the most positive spin I can put on Southampton at the moment, is that the way the team is looking destined to implode, that's probably one of the bottom three sorted.....

Yes that is a positive way to look at it. Now to find the other two. Burnley and.....

These are the types of posts that can come back to bite you at season's end, let's not get ahead of ourselves

Stoke could make the full set.....

As somebody that's had to put up with endless **** from Saints fans of my unfortunate acquaintance, much of it unpleasant and unnecessarily vitriolic towards both myself and QPR, I would of course be devastated if their team was broken up and struggled this season coming.

Somehow I think youd know Id agree with this.

I hope they replace them with signings like Osvaldo.

Anybody but City, United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Everton, Chelsea and Spurs could be relegated next season. I'm hoping for Swansea, West Ham and Leicester, but not that bothered as long as it's not us. We need a good start as Redknapp's teams tend to fall away from February.

We have to remain positive after last seasons abysmal Premier league campaign. We can't be that bad again, can we? :emoticon-0107-sweat

Luke Shaw deal to Man U back on http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27634009 is he really worth in excess of £27m??

    And

Liverpool table £25m bid for Lallana http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/may/30/liverpool-adam-lallana-southampton-25m-new-bid again is he really worth over £25m??

At this rate there will be no players at Southampton, just an immense pile of used tenners......

All good for us if they end up buying cheap / average replacements. And they still have no manager.

Are we sure Bernie & Flav aren't involved?

Theres a theory that that the owners are asset stripping before selling, now that would make me laugh.

Southampton's problem then, not ours I expect. But they'll win the play-off final season after!
