With qpr and now aston villa getting new managers ,this will certainly mean we will suffer as the the new broom effect does more often than not see an upturn in fortunes
Part and parcel of relegation battles. Happens every year, managers get sacked. I wouldn't say it was bad news, just a inevitable of fact of dicing with relegation season in season out. It's the quality of the appointment that could make me sweat.
Appoint a guy to keep you up then look long term later. Can't think of any Villa back room people to promote.
exactly who is going to be as bad, whoever it is the team nearly always picks up even for a short period eg ;12 games
Good point, if it were us the new guy would look at the fixture list and reckon he could get points against who we are due to play.
I don't see any top mangers wanting to work for an owner who has lost interest. Di Canio could be a good shout.
It's a good point but this appointment needs more than better, he needs to get a response form the squad, be able to lift them, and tactically solve their goal scoring problems. They need more than a better manager, they need a good manager, which is why I'll asses weather it's good or bad news once the appointment has been made. I the mean time I'll be watching with with a great deal of interest. Sherwood maybe? Unproved in the situation, knew his previous players from a years of club affiliation. Would be a leap of faith from Villa and an alien environment for Sherwood. I wouldn't be worried with that. Maclaren? Yep, I'd be ****ting it as I think he'd keep them up.
They could bring in any manager and they'll still have a poor team with a bad attitude ............ sometimes a team simply deserves to go down.
we pulled the same stunt and decanio saved us ,please post the stats on this situation about new /temp managers or the link
That job seems made for Tim Sherwood, think it's his if he wants it and I can't see why not. He seems to have begged everybody else for a job.
McClaren won't walk from Derby for many jobs right now, certainly not Villa. If I was Lerner I'd go for Hyypia, forget about what he did at Brighton they wrote him off from day zip, he's a good manager. Lerner will probably go for somebody very underwhelming, he has previous for it.
Cool, we'll just hold back on the sacking of Poyet and take over everybody at the very end I think that's your logic?
You're the ones making the claims, you do the work ........... I know it's rubbish but I can't be arsed tbh. 12 games bounce?
Well thats my impression of what happens when a new /temp manager comes in ,i have no stats thats true enough but you state stats prove other wise ,where from ?
No idea what form of English that is but ........ I read a report in the Times, recently, that totally contradicted the fondly held myth. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong ......... It's not important enough to worry about for me tbh.
