If Norwich could only keep one of them, who would you keep and why. Personally I think McNally is more important to the long term wellbeing of the club and he did get Lambert. Obviously I'd like to keep both and I think they will both stay for another season. I believe whether or not Lambert stays longer than another season will depend on how much the club show a willingness to match his ambitions. However I don't doubt that if one of the big 6 clubs comes calling Lambert will go.
A difficult call this one. I agree that for the medium to long term McNally is the choice but we will need to fund PL's (and our) ambitions and that means ultimately investing in a larger capacity stadium - maybe 35,000 or more. To do that we would need to lose a stand for a year for the building process and so suffer a short term loss of income which would put a strain on the finances again. these decisions are not easy. CarrowCanario can you please make your next question a bit easier.
Shame you couldn't make it easier by posting "who should Leeds Utd keep, Bates or Colin", for example. Except it's not any easier, cos if I was a Feeds fan, I'd want both out of the club DM and PL work so well together and are on each others wavelength so ask me again this time next year
McNally, 1) Because I can understand what he's saying. 2) Because he started all this off. 3) Because he would find us another Lambert. ILD OTBC
There is no such thing as another Lambert. I don't think there will ever be another manager who combine player motivation, and an eye for talent as well as judge character like Lambert can.
Why don't you ask us something easy like explain the origin of the universe? Both have been magnificent so it is a toughie. If I had to choose I would have to say keep McNally. Of course Lambert would be a very hard act to follow, but I'm sure McNally would find a more than adequate replacement.
i think mcnally probably has his eye on a few backup managers if lambert ever left. If we had to replace him tomorrow, i bet Mcnally knows who we need to do the job.
Its a tough call, but I'd say Lambert. McNally chose Lambert as the man from the job but only through knowing him from their time together at Celtic. Would he be able to pick another gem without having personal knowledge..... I doubt it, so it's Lambert for me. OTBC...... IMWT (In McNally We Trust)....... ILWHTB (In Lambert We Have Total Belief)
It's not difficult at all: There are lots of high quality managers but very few people in overall charge of football clubs that are able to allow managers to flourish. Therefore McNally by a mile.
Lads sorry do not trust McNally, Lamberts interviews say he will not spend lots,to me this is a statement that Mc will not let go of purse strings.I think Mc is getting to big for his boots (SHOES) in his case
Would you prefer Lambert to come out and say he's been given £20m to spend and in doing so let every other team know our budget? Lambert has always said he won't spend lots, but he always spends enough to improve the squad.
Why would he spend all the effort into turning the clubs fortunes completely around, help get us to the Premier League and then risk it all by not giving PL the resources to improve the squad and keep us there long term?
Ahhh Bisto! How is that broken leg? Shame that budding career was so cruelly curtailed. Tough question this, because whoever you choose makes you look as if you don't value the other, which is obviously nonsense. McNally would just edge it for me, if you don't trust him, then you're mental. A big thank you to both of them for restoring my faith in the team I love.
