Lambert has an interview on football focus this week. A short extract is here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20362544 I completely agree with what he is saying. Results have been bad and we can't kid ourselves over where we are in this league, but we have put away a lot of chances and I can't escape the feeling that without some of the silly errors we'd be in a much better place. It's also nice to see one of the senior players stepping up and trying to relieve a bit of pressure from the manager.
Having just listened to that snippet he isn't thecbest with words. However, I don't actually care! As long as he is endlessly scoring I'll love him!
I admire Rickie for the way he controlled his responses to the usual inane questions, we know from experience that it only takes one word out of place which would get turned around to say something entirely different. First player to say that they are as much to blame, just hope he can help turn it around. A couple of good results would make an amazing difference, winning is addictive.
Liverpudlians do have the problem that they have to clear their throat between words. Lambert's heart is in the right place, but is basically a bit shy which causes him to stumble. I'm glad the players are behind Adkins...being together is our main asset. Adkins trains and picks the team, but his input is more limited once the team take the field....cut out those silly errors and the points will come.
