I sit in the North Stand lower in row 11 just off to the side of the goal. There are 3 lads that sit behind me that are openly BoB's but on Saturday afternoon I found that one of them was completely out of order.

He was SLATING Connor Wickham and shouting "what a waste of ****ing money" at him almost every second he was on the field.

I think Wickham did OK on Saturday considering how things were going when he came on but, before he'd even kicked a ball the lad behind me (who had said nothing but "Bruce out" for an hour (although some of the crack was quite good) then started having a go at a 19 year old lad who's looking a decent player to have on our books.

I'm all one for opinions but wondered if anyone else experienced this bloke behind me?

I can't think of words that do justice for complete moronic arseholes like the person you have described...
What I can't understand is how other fans sitting around him let's him get away with it? I'm quite sure that if someone started slagging off a new signing who is little more than a kid next to where I sit, he would be shouted down by the sensible majority.

Me and my Dad had a go (I sit with my Dad) but I'm 5' 6" and 12 stone - the lads that sit with him are significantly bigger than me and people appear a little more scared of them than we are (and it's mostly families around us so people are not as vocal as others)

Idiots. I actually thought Wickham looked half decent. Gave Terry a few things to think about. Fair enough you might disagree but there's no excuse to boo the 18yr old lad for trying his best 2-0 down against one of the top teams in the world...

I want Bruce to go but I support the players 100% at the game and especially the new ones. Wickham is very raw but has a huge presence on the pitch and will be a very good player in time.

He isn’t however what we need now and the folly of spending the bulk of the limited (at least now we know it was limited) budget on 2 lads that had no EPL experience seems even worse with the departure of Asamoah Gone.

I think it will be the Wickham business that ultimately does for Bruce and the lack of firepower. That said, I'd have a go at anyone slagging Wickham or Won off if they are thrown in next week.

Well done to you and your old man Marcus.

To be fair, all the vitriol was aimed at one man on Saturday around me and it wasnt a player or a Director.

Cheers lads - it almost came to fidsticuffs from him as he was getting very agitated - I can look after myself if I need to (I'm a brown belt in Kick Boxing) but my dad has recently recovered from a triple heart bypass so I was worried when he was lposing his head and the bloke behind kicked off - luckily the women next to him calmed him down.

I used to have run ins with people all the time over Kenwyne, culminating in one exchange when I was lucky to remain in the ground.

You'll always get them sadly, listen out for the same mugs saying how 'he's class like' when he finds his feet.
