Now that we're faced with a bit of a striker crisis, how can we justify getting rid of HH, DJ, Mackie and Bothroyd in recent times? Two of them were in form and the other two highly proven at this level. Am I missing anyone else? We have a great way of shooting ourselves in the foot.
I said we should have kept DJ for another year, I said we should have kept Mackie but Bothroyd is no loss. I think HH is retired now but getting rid of him was a huge mistake too. We needed at least 5 forwards if we were going to play 2 up front, going with Austin and the 2 injury prone fulham players was madness. Same with carrying 3 CBs with one of them who was out all season.
Think keeping one on the books at least until a better replacement had signed would have been the prudent thing.
You've got more chance of my knob growing an extra 3" and using them on John terry's missus thus allowing her to sleep with the second largest prick she has ever seen after her husband.
If he scores a hattrick, Ill run onto the field naked. Well it worked last time and he scored against the scum.
I know that the mood on the board has turned in the last few weeks in favour of our 'arold and those of us who didn't want him have kept silent but this is one point on which I think we can all agree. What was he thinking in relying on two injury prone forwards, one striker and 1 kid? Who on this board did not foresee this problem? 'Trust in Harold he knows what he's doing' sounds a bit hollow when he leaves us short in this way.
Although I acknowledge that Harry has us sitting at the top of the table. I believe it was his blind "love" of Zamora that has contributed to this predicament. Everyone could see that Zamora was ****ed and we all knew that he and AJ would be injured more than they played. Leaving us so short of strikers whilst getting ever more midfield players COULD just be what costs us promotion, unless Austin can rediscover his scoring boots and stays fit!!
DJ is not fit or then he dont get even a chance in Blackburn because he hasnt played a match with them yet.
Just a thought, we could ask Liverpool to loan us Suarez until Christmas while he builds up his match fitness.
I liked the two young strikers Shariff and Hitchcock - they looked fast and good control on the ball - not sure why he has not started / had them on the bench...
Tony Fernandez just tweeted this when answering someone who asked if we'd score a hat full soon :- "The only Qpr fan at Epsom college. We will Jamie. 2 strikers coming." Can hope one of them is a proper fox in the box and not 2 large lumps.
