It dawned on me the other day that recently we've not had many home league games with a traditional 3pm Saturday kick off. So had a look at the fixture list and due to the FA Cup and Televised games we won't have a 3pm home Saturday league game for 8 weeks. The last one vs Reading on the 13th March and next one is 10th March vs Norwich. Genuinely I struggle to fill my Saturday afternoons.
One of the may reasons I find myself falling out of love with the modern professional game that dont involve the stupidship of Ehbarbie & Assme ...
I made a thread about this about four years ago how I thought there where to much football on TV. The consensus was if you don't like it, don't watch it. But i think people are walking up to it now.
There' s been to much football on tele for well over 10 years now. It should start in September and be done and dusted by the 1st week in May.
Some are running up to it. But you are right. Football is for people who don't actually have any connections with the clubs, at the top level at least, they are "supporting".
On the plus side the Friday night game means that Saturday afternoon is free for a few beers before the England v Scotland Six Nations game on Saturday.
