Now that the mighty Metropolitan Police have asked Suffolk to provide officers to come down to the smoke to help them out, will there be enough police to cover the big game at Portman Road? As Ipswich v Northampton has always been a fiercely contested fixture between two local rivals I am just worried that there will be insufficent Police numbers on hand to cope with the expected capacity crowd. Thank god there isn't a local Currys nearby the ground!
I don't think you need worry JWM. I'm sure there is more than adequate cover for the game. My only concern would be that some chancers will see it as an opportunity to raid the High Streets of Suffolk towns.
