Allams- ham-fisted and unsubtle method of obtaining monies owed

Radio Humberside- keen to inflate a non-story and set fans of one club against another whilst disingenuously asking "Who Me?"

Terry Geraghty - the least educated and intelligent councillor in Hull's history, incapable of grasping the real issue or suggesting a way forward, content to recycle well-known and irrelevant facts when asked to comment

Hull FC fans- bilious, 'victim' mentality, unable to distinguish contractual agreements from emotive crap.

What a non event in a sad goldfish bowl, where sporting merit and attainment have been jettisoned in favour of bogus rivalry and pseudo controversy, with the cynical local media happy to encourage it all.

Does anyone have the 'listen again' for Geraghty's 'rant'? Heard he made quite a few derogatory comments towards City.

Surely as a councillor he should remain unbiased, or not get involved at all, as it is a matter between two private companies.

Caught him on radio by chance tonight. Seemed utterly unprepared with facts or decent soundbites. Interviewers seemed exasperated by his failure to engage with the subject matter as one would be with a not-very-articulate newsagent nearing retirement.

He did his colleagues no favour at all with his rambling vagueness and utter lack of preparation.

Initial flabberghastedness swiftly turned into sad anger that ****s like this rule my city.

I didn't hear it the first time, but if he has got involved in this, it's a signal for all City fans to do exactly what all Hull FC fans on the RL forum have done... bombard local councillors with emails (but on this occasion stating that as a local taxpayer you're disgusted that your taxes are being spent on dealing with a situation between two private companies - something the council should NOT be involved in).

Narrow minded nonsense with the usual suspects throwing petrol on the flames on sportstalk tonight.
Councillor Geraghty came across as a bigoted idiot that he is. Every time he opens his mouth he digs a deeper hole for himself. If he is our cultural representative on the council then god help us.
No wonder Dr Allam cannot bare to be in the same room as him.
He should retire to his council mansion on OPE and be gratefull that someone so limited as he has managed to earn a very good living all his life for spouting rubbish.

Narrow minded nonsense with the usual suspects throwing petrol on the flames on sportstalk tonight.
Councillor Geraghty came across as a bigoted idiot that he is. 'Hull City were in the third division when the KC opened.........Allam has upset 15,000 rugby league fans......there were 10,000 there yesterday............Allam is a joke.............No facts, no grasp of the situation, repeated parrot fashion that FC pay £600,000 per year rent 'that's a lot of rent' And more importantly no respect at all shown for us or the Allam family.
Also the media are turning it into a vendetta against Johhny Whiteley when its nothing of the sort. This is parish pump politics, on the eve of a hugely important match tomorrow night, which didn't even warrant a mention on sports talk tonight.
Obviously there is a spat between City and FC over who pays for what at the KC and this is just the thin edge of it.
Adam Pearson has gone to ground yet the Allam family are getting all the **** and the lack of any journalistic research is appalling and the whole sorry episode is being lazily relayed off facebook and various message boards when no-one actually knows the facts.
The sooner we break away from these rugby league shackles and the 'FC Faithfull FFS' the better because everything we do will attract ridicule from the flat earth society.
We cannot win, they wait with baited breath for us to slip up and this is yet another case of us playing right into their hands.
RL will continue to hold our club back as the history books clearly show that it has been the case since our club was formed.
Simply because the two sports are in direct competition with each other, only it is not a level playing field. As we know, yet the flat earthers, the council and sadly some of the journos who's livelihood depends on RL will never admit it.

The Allams are self-confessed 'businessmen'. Not sports fans. Funnily enough similar to Adam Pearson when all is said and done! They are very good at doing business and have never needed PR to make money so why should they change now. As a former 'spin doctor' (of a kind), I say why simply lace the pockets of the media anyway. Carry on Dr Allam, as if I am remotely qualified to advise, and pay no heed to the pressure from those who's best achievements are to make money out of hatches, matches and scatches!

The only good that may come out of this is that the more Gerremonside Geriatric Gerraghty is exposed the closer he gets to the out door as he is revealed to be a liabilityto his party and the people who elected him.

Other than that, a very bad day at the office for this city's sporting life.

    Good post busdriver.

I hate the tubby lards and want nothing less than a scorched earth policy directed against the dwindling but influential ranks of city hating eggchasers epitomised by the ****wit Geraghty but directing the early artillery barrage at the much respected images of Johnny Whiteley MBE was a tactical error akin to Martin Fish banning Waggy & Chilton from BP.

Pick a better target next time and you'll gerrusonsaaaarrrrrddddd!

    Geraghty Out.

The last thing we need in this critical month of February is a pissing contest with the incontinent tubby lards who will fill the local media with their moaning and bile.

Poor media manipulation and timing from the Allams.

    They're blubbing over £20 a game ffs.

Just when you think these small minded people can't sink any lower. They've had a year to budget for it too, this was discussed last August ffs.

This radio interview was a reaction to the Allam's actions, which everyone seemed to think were hilarious on the other thread... Most posters were taking the piss out of FC fans for moaning about it and befitting the issue. Now look who's moaning about it.

Frankly I don't care... Just thought I'd point out the irony in this thread and to everyone getting arsey about this interview.

Stands back and waits for a bile filled Fire@Fewings in the HDM on Wednesday.
Did I read somewhere that one of 'FC Faithfull' has been posting that the boulevard was 'worth £3.5m' and that Boothferry Park was valued at £2m, in relation to who contributed what when the KC was first built?
And these people seriously believe it!
