Good question Ivor, I have a feeling we might well see more of Bessone this season, though I could be wrong!..........
And so it begins.. Our new centre half looks a strapping lad..at last somebody that can compete in the air by being able to header and not lever people,at least i hope so!
Hmmmmm...... Why? Don't forget we are losing 6ft 3" Caulker to be replaced by 6ft 2" Chico. And we all know what that extra inch can do.

Why? because Caulker is not our player and never has been either, Caulks did a great job for us make no mistake and is going to be a top pro but its about time we had our own centre half to play and harness an understanding with Ash,the longer this can build the better we become and if Ash moves on then we have somebody else who will hopefully take over and maintain a solid streak throughout the team. One flaw to my rambling though is that we aint seen him play in our team yet!! hope he measures up
You missed my point, Norway. Irrespective of who actually owned Caulker he still played for us last season, so I was gently querying exile's comment about us having more confidence defending corners next season when Chico is actually shorter than Caulker - hair doesn't count, Dragon!!!! Of course height doesn't guarantee aerial supremacy (Dennis Lawrence) and I'm mindful of the fact that Everton's Osman, 5ft 8"ish outjumped Caulker when he scored the winner at Goodison. As for the rest of your post, I'm in complete agreement. It will be good to have our own man who, hopefully, will develop a long term understanding with Ash and the others at the back. And it might be helpful that Chico and Rangel can communicate in Spanish if his English is rusty. As for you, Yankee, fancy lowering the tone of the thread like that!!
Seems to be a discussion about Caulker v Chico? Height is one thing but Chico has much more experience as he's been playing in the top League in two countries. Just a thought.
