The thing is how do you fill every ground.??
If a teams bottom of the league they might not be able to fill it even giving away freebies.
I believe this is pressure from worldwide television who want to see full grounds and close high tempo games

I reckon people would go along if they had free tickets?

Last season when we where near the bottom of Prem and i was working nobody would take my season ticket for free.
Even Barca dont always have full stadia

They aren't requiring full stadia, only on the TV side.

It seems quite a strange thing to do.
Would they fine Wests or Richmond over there for not filling there arenas ??

No, but I think encouraging clubs to fill the stands is a good thing. Most AFL clubs over here pack out their stadia each week.

Yeah that ground's the only one they don't look to completely fill. I think it's 6 teams that have their home games there. Maybe 4-5. They usually get 60k+ there for games so that's still decent.

Hopefully getting people along to Cheers Bar in Sydney around midnight, getting drinks going, get the atmosphere buzzing, game starts at 2am and then Champions League is on soon after we finish - if we're in a good mood might stick around for that!

That's a fine example of how to alienate your regular paying support.

Give away free tickets on a regular basis.

That's obviously the better option. A well-thought out, good quality, sensibly priced, structure outlined 2-3 months before the season starts
that rewards season ticket holders yet still delivers value for match day prices.

Spot on, its purely about image and nothing else, take away the cameras and it really doesn't matter how full the ground is because you wouldn't see it unless you were there yourself.

It depends how big the fines are as to whether it has much impact.

La Liga is a joke, If you look at how they share money out between the teams it is truly a disgrace of a competition. They should be boycotting matches that are shown on t.v. instead of going
