Done well since leaving Burnley, he'd be worth consideration. He's big strong and the SPL is ****. Are rangers still in financial trouble?
Apparenty they are very much so but they did reject a £7m offer for Jelavic from Leicester in the summer so obviously don't need to sell
He's more the 6'4" battering ram up front I think. He must be decent at it because Rangers want to tie him to a long term deal. I'm sure a club with premier league aspirations could sign him.
In front of goal, he's absolutely terrible. He's decent outside the box though, quick and mobile with a good touch. He's no striker. Rangers aren't clear of trouble at all. Still rumoured that they might go into Administration.
i am quite happy to wait and see who NP brings to the club in Jan. he has not done a bad job so far So lets be patient. for now i looking forward to getting our long term injured players back into action. like 6 new signings before december. stewart - olifinjana - dawson - plus waghorn - barmby - pusic due back anytime. like having half a new team.
Rangers financial situation hinges on a dispute with HMRC. They're disputing that they owe £40M to the tax man*. If they lose the case they're ****ed, and the new owner thinks there's enough of a chance it'll happen that he had the takeover structured in such a way that if they do lose he doesn't end up out of pocket from buying the club (some arrangement with the old owner that sees him get a big refund or something was the way it was explained to me). *I think this is similar to the Sol Campbell thing at Pompey. There was something about Campbell being owed money by Pompey that he was trying to claim as a footballing debt to get paid ahead of HMRC. Something about image rights that he was paying corporation tax on (as he had a company set up to handle them) and he suddenly dropped the claim against Pompey when HMRC questioned how he could be due seven figures for image rights when the total merchandising sales for the club had only been six figures and image rights are supposed to be a % of sales. At Rangers I think the tax man is saying they've been doing something similar to boost the players' salaries to evade income tax and NI payments (rather than avoid income tax which would be legal) and are claiming as a result that Rangers are due to make tax payments inline with it.
No !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lafferty is a disagreeable twat, diver, brawler and all round up his own arse prick. Plus he has a pikey mullet. No thanks.
If, as has been said here, he is crap in front of goal he should be a no go (and I'm sure he is). At Barnsley, like many other games, we would have won if we had a striker who could score more than 1 in 6 decent chances. The last thing we need is another one who is good at everything but finishing.
