With Murray winning t'other night, this story didn't get as much coverage as it would have done otherwise. A lad from the fine East Yorkshire village of Tickton (obviously no bias from myself) won the US Open juniors doubles titles. I've mentioned him before on other O/T tennis threads we've had up during The French Open and Wimbledon and said he was one to watch. Nice to see another local lad do well and add to the great summer of sport we've just experienced. He's also a very good singles player and a lot of the pundits rate him highly amongst the up and comers. Liam Broady from Stockport got to the junior singles final, but unfortunately lost a close match. He got to the Wimbledon Juniors final last year and was runner up there too. So for all the Scottish knockers out there it looks like we may have some decent English talent coming through too. http://www.thisishullandeastriding....-tennis-teen/story-16880942-detail/story.html
Snap. The one's in Tickton aren't much better since the dissolution of the first incarnation of the Tickton Tennis Club, but that's a story for another time. I've used the word incarnation twice today, an above average usage.
P.S if anyone fancies a rendition of the old school song pre match, you can find me in the E4 and I'm sure it will go down a treat. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forty_Years_On_(song) Other uses section, third paragraph, end of the first line.
Grammar is the place to be! in my year was Kyle and he has already won the Junior French open I believe
