    Pretty insane, glad to see he's on the mend. Remember watching him in that awesome youth team that season, had such high hopes for all of them. A shame some didn't pan out, but then I guess the Worlds Most Expensive Player did come out of it, so not all bad!

    This sort of thing puts life firmly into perspective. Thankfully he seems to have made a full recovery?

    Yes, read this the other day. Possibly his intrinsic fitness helped him survive, but it was certainly touch and go with the lad.

    Shocking that a treatable illness is often overlooked and people die unnecessarily. It is good that is being brought to the forefront and medical staff receiving more awareness training.
