Disappointed with this signing if it happens, not a great fan of his. Spurs fans are over the moon that Daniel Levi has managed to sell him on for £5m. Have not read one thread or comment from Spurs fans that want him to stay. Most believe Levi should get a knighthood for fleecing Swansea out of £4 or £5 million.
Discussing personal terms. I guess that means he's tellin HJ and GM how many games he wants to be selected for.
And the Spurs merry-go-round continues. So we ship them Ben for who knows how much really and then we get Naughton back. Now the question(s) to be answered surrounds Taylor. The clubs that are reportedly bidding on him are not ever going to set the league alight, so if he leaves its not going to be a step-up more a step-over. Is he leaving for the money. Is he leaving because he doesn't like the expected competition from Naughton. Chicken/Egg .... Are we getting Naughton because we don't think Taylor is cutting it or because Taylor wants out big time. What's driving all this.
£5m is astonishing. Why isn't it £3m and we'll give you another £2m based on performances etc. The club is being fleeced here.
Maybe Taylor is off then ? I won't cry about it - I think he's been ok but nothing to write home about. I think I saw somewhere that he's had more yellow cards than anyone in our team so far this season (can't find it now).
Naughton's a right-back. He can play at left-back at a push, but he's not comfortable there, by any means and he wouldn't displace Taylor. He's fairly solid, especially if he's given a run in a side, and he seems like a decent person who never causes any problems. Not going to displace his best mate, Kyle Walker, in our side and we've got cover in his position, so it's best he moves on. Would I be right in suggesting that you've had a few problems at right-back this season? It's looked like a pretty big vulnerability to me in the games that I've watched you for 90 minutes.
Just noticed Tiendalli's Wikipage http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dwight_Tiendalli The second paragraph makes me wonder why we bought him!
Walker / Naughton - too many Kyles. This is what's been confusing me. So we're really signing a RB. What's this say about Rangel.
, I wonder why we bought him for footballing reasons. Part of that entry looks like it's been hacked , but I'd say from what I've seen I wouldn't be surprised
The writings on the wall I'd say for Rangel, this season barring injuries has probably been the least we've seen him starting games since we've been in the PL
What we already knew....he's getting on a bit and we need to start settling in a premier league quality replacement...it says more about Richards to me...ie, he'll now play backup to Naughton.... feel for the lad, but have to say I rate Naughton over Jazz....perhaps not 5 million times as much tho
Obviously being seen as Angel's replacement. What the Spurs fans think is irrelavent to me as all clubs have fans who can't stand individual players for one reason or another. How he performs for us is what's important.
I remember when both Kyle Walker & Kyle Naughton were full-backs at Sheffield United round about 2008/9. Both powerful players but Walker has been the more successful.
Jesus some fans are so pathetic, How does anyone know how good he may be for us without ever seeing him play for us ??? We are not exactly blessed with classy players all over the pitch so how can you rubbish the player before he has kicked a ball that may be better than any of our players.
