Italian side Udinese have rejected a €12 million offer from Manchester United for Kwadwo Asamoah, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Ghana international is sought-after by a host of clubs including newly-crowned Italian champions Juventus.

This means Asamoah will remain at the Friuli and play in their UEFA Champions League campaign.

Last month, Turkish side Fenerbahce claimed they had reached an agreement for the talented creative midfielder.

“Juventus are certainly interested, but he is an Udinese player and the club is in the Champions League preliminary round next season, so it’s unlikely they’ll sell unless there is a big offer,” agent Stefano Antonelli told Sport Mediaset.

“In any case, there are another two or three extremely important clubs who have made it clear they intend to reach an agreement for him.”

Asamoah has been named in the Ghana squad for next month’s 2014 FIFA World Cup double-header against Lesotho and Zambia.

Looked a talented player at SA10 for Ghana.More importantly, I signed him as my first addition to United in FM12 and we went on to win the treble, sign him up Fergie!

ASAMOAH CLOSER — Juventus are also set to pounce for Kwadwo Asamoah: negotiations with Udinese could kick off on Monday. Udinese president Pozzo is holding out for his valuation of the midfielder, €15 million, and has already rejected a €12 million bid from Man United. That's the same amount Juve are prepared to lay on the table. But the Italian champions are gearing up for a counter-attack that includes Pazienza and co-ownership of Luca Marrone in the offer. Juventus are on the verge of announcing the arrival of Paul Pogba, the midfield prodigy snatched on a free from Manchester United. Also arriving soon will be Marco Verratti, Pescara's 19-year-old playmaker who has just received his first call-up to the Italy squad by Cesare Prandelli. In the meantime, Juve are also looking to secure a deal for Lens' 18-year-old midfielder Geoffroy Kongdogbia, whose contract expires in 2013.

Just looking at who Juve have bought and are trailing and cant help wonder why the **** Pogba is even thinking about going there, he would be lucky to make the reserves.

Pogba is going there because he and his greedy agent want a massive wage increase and it looks like Juventus are offering him that.

I think after the game fixing scandal players will be a bit more cautious in moving to Italy. That's not something many people want to get caught up in.
