Dalglish today spoke about his summer transfer plans and made a few interesting points. New players will come. We know that any way. Targets established, contact made? But here is the one that caught my attention. So, it seems the news that Dirk Kuyt is being forced out is not true. I hope so at least. I lke whats been said. I dont think we need to move players out. We have a good foundation to our squad now.
I agree. I be surprised if either of them were here. Kuyt didn't get enough games this year imo. Maxi will probably go on his own accord.
Aye, we all knew Babel was about to leave but Kenny didn't say anything on the matter and declared that he was still a Liverpool player. he was gone the next day. We should all realise by now that he is not going to say much on anything, he aint 'Arry.
If he says he's going to be selling players, their price tag drops because people know we're trying to offload, if they end up staying, they're unhappy we tried to get rid. He did what he had to say, they're not looking to move anyone out - but that doesn't mean they won't sell those who want out or accept bids for players if high enough. Kenny's conferences are all the same, all year. He'll say nothing about anything until after it's happened.
Maxi could get a decent price, and he came on a free so it would be a profit. I like him and it would be fine if he stayed and got games.
The club / Kenny are not going to say X, Y or Z are leaving. We want as much money as possible from the players that leave so we aren't going to other clubs that we are looking to ship them out! Aurelio is different because he is out of contract so we we won't get anything for him anyway!
Apart from the actual buying price aren't there contractual reasons around us saving money if players ask to leave rather than being forced to? PS think maxi and kuyt will both go.
My dad watches that shyte Sunday Supplement so is full of "Martinez is taking over from Dalglish" today. I could see Kenny taking over as DoF and I can see Martinez deserves a move up but I don't see it happening with us. Not right now.
i can state quite forcefully that saying we are not actively looking to get shut doesn't mean we don't accept offers. In other words amxi and kuyt and carragher have contracts so until someone bids we can't exactly go cancel a contract. finally.. martinez.. thats bollocks cos the staf at the club would go if that happens. clarke won't hand about.
That programme is complete bollox, it's just journos sitting round regurgitating each others nonsense and believing that this some how validates the shyte they make up.
