The magic words "free",and "cut price", are quite possibly the main motivation for continued interest in this duo.

Kum is a central/left sided defender. Now, if Buck wants him as a centre back we will have the same old at set pieces - the guy is just 6ft tall. We really do need some height at the back with Vorm and Ash at the same height, Taylor even shorter and, although Rangel is six two, he is pants in the air.

Well and good if he is intended as cover for Ash and Taylor but if Caulker leaves I really would prefer to see an imposing physical specimen at the back to deal with high balls.

Ivor, agreed, but these 2 have been linked most of the season. Maybe true, maybe bullsh*t. silly season has already started. Lets have a guess how many other players wewill be rumoured to be linked with before we sign someone.

On the other hand lets make a list now of who else we will be linked to prior to us signing someone. I will satrt with Borini.

How good would it be if we had Borini back? I know there's no chance but, just for fun, if we could make just one marquee signing would posters go for Siggy or Borini? Now there's a choice. :emoticon-0130-devil

I'll go for siggy as we know he can do a job for us, Borini hasn't really played in the premier league so going for the safe option ;)

Siggy: Proven at this level. As much as I love fab Fab he's been playing in a less physically demanding league and he's pretty slight. That said would love to sign them both :)

Ivor: a 6 foot Kum sounds impressive to me. <laugh>

Kum/Toornstra transfer rumours, to be honest, i think Buck shouldn't get either of them. Kum was a steady factor in the defense of ADO Den Haag last year, but this year he hasn't been impressive during the season. In my eyes he didn't improve the last 10 months, he was steady like last year, but in no way ready for the PL. Toornstra is a different case, he had a brilliant start of the season, scored several times. But after 15 games his level went down fast. In all i think by the end of the season he is at a lower point in his development then in October last year.

If Buck needs a good CD or LB from the Dutch League for the future, he might want to take a look at Jeffrey Gouweleeuw. Big, solid defender and a future international CD from SC Heerenveen. He is 20 years old and already had shown he is a decent CD and that he can get alot better in the future.
For the position AM: Maarten Martens(AZ), Evander Sno(RKC Waalwijk) or dirt cheap Enevoldsen(FC Groningen).

If a higher budget is available, say more then 5 million, Toby Alderweireld(CD,Ajax) or Ron Vlaar(CD, Feyenoord).
Leroy Fer, Nacer Chadli(AM,Twente), Filip Djuricic(AM, SC Heerenveen)
