If the rumours are true and Tim Krul is not prepared to sit on the bench next season what would you do? We have 3 very good 1st team keepers and my solution would be to keep Harps as number 1 and loan Krul out til Jan, with Forster as deputy to Harper then review the situation in Jan.

NUFC.com had an article on their website about this. Apparently the Dutch papers have reported him as saying he wants to leave, but English papers have reported him saying he his happy at the club.

Loan him out, keep Forster as reserve keeper, Harps is a great keeper but isn't getting any younger eventually we'll need Krul & Forster though which will be first choice I'm not sure. (I'd prefer it to be Forster, local lad and all)

    You missed a cracker...

    Krul - Intentions!

    Oh well :(

Pardew has already said he'll evaluate all 3 in pre-season.

Krul will have to wait as see what will happen.

If it's as good as the 'Krul Identity' and 'Krul Supremacy' then I'll definitely go and see it.

I doubt they'll kill him off so I reckon he'll be here next season.

Give him the number one, it's not like he isn't good enough and I'd rather lose Harps then Krul.

I think all 3 keepers offer sonething different. To be honest i think it would get 2 the point that we have to offload 1 of them, even it Harper decided to retire. Cant see Forster or Krul wanting to wait in the wings the way Harper has all these years

  9. Instead of saying either Krul or Forster should definitely get loaned out, we should let them battle it out in pre-season.

Send Harper to the Bahamas, Krul vs Forster pre-season, and let Pardew decide.

However, if i had to make a decision right now, it would be Krul easily. Forster's extra experience doesn't show him to be better than Krul, and he looks about right at SPL level is you ask me.

Forster shouldn't be allowed to moan his way into the squad because he's been loaned out alot. He should prove himself better pre-season, if he's not as good as Krul, then he can go out on loan or go **** himself and we'll sell him.

I say loan him to one of the newly promoted clubs.

I reckon we should see who's better pre-season, but no one is going to bitch their way into this team.

I don't care if Forster has been on loan too long, it doesn't automatically mean he should get a place in the squad, unless he wants to be number 3, but i think it would be better him going out to a PL team and getting some first team experience at this level.

If Krul refuses to sit on the bench next season we may lose him, so I'd look past the sentiment of Harper's patience and loyalty and ask the simple question, who is the better goalkeeper?

  11. Even though i don't rate Forster, he deserves a chance, and i don't think Krul has really been sitting on the bench this season, he's played around half our games and that has earned him international acknowledgement.

I think Krul will be better than Harper, however he needs to work on some areas. His reacions and instincts are better than Harpers, and his ability to win the ball in the air is excellent, but he does have random moments where he'll mistime a launch like the one against Chelsea.

Krul should have one more season with us as 2nd choice learning from Harper and battling for first place, then i reckon he'll be ready to take over.

I personally wouldn't feel bad if Forster was sold but part of me knows he deserves atleast pre-season to impress and earn a spot if he can.
