Timar played as a triallist this afternoon for us in a 'friendly' reserve game v Brentford.
He looked commanding with a good presence. Any thoughts about him ?

Timar was a fans' favourite here and was known as "the beast", a big guy who the opposition didn't mess with but he was never the same after receiving a nasty head injury. These days I think him leaving has more to do with the salary he is on than him not being up to the job in hand. I would say that he is at least L2 standard - probably L1.

Like him a lot and I thought we never saw the absolute best of him. Commanding is the word that springs to mind and he will give a lot of attackers a fright if they challenge him for the ball. Would quite like him back here to be honest. Lots of experience and won't let you down if he signs.

He had a serious skull fracture..........would knock the stuffing out of many a player...........especially the way he used to play.....best of luck to him.

Have a lot of time for Timar or the beast as he was called down here, but sadly after his bad head injury he never seemed the same player, but having said that if you do have him as a player I'm sure he will do well for you !

Not so sure if it was the head injury or just coming back into a side that was so lacking in confidence and form, a lot of the players were under performing at the time which seemed to rub off on everyone. He is basically a proper centre half good in the air, positionally sound and solid in the tackle should be a good signing for you. Top player for us and hope he gets back to full form.

He played well in the three games he got last season, before Reid dropped him. Anyone know why?

Anyway he would be a big asset for you.

I was at Wolves when he received his injury and you could tell at the time it was bad. He certainly never looked the same player again but I thought on the few chances he had last season he was beginning to turn a corner. But he just didn't figure in Reid's plans If he could return to anything like his earlier form for us he'd be an immense asset.
