I'm getting tired of waiting for this guy to step up to the plate. Flashes here and there but with his ability he should be having a much greater impact. Let today be the day.
Kranjcar is a very talented player. However, he has never looked fit since he joined us and Harry keeps playing him out wide which is simply ridiculous, as he's possibly slower than Clint! Play him in behind the striker/s or don't play him at all.
He certainly does not look like a top athlete. They have had almost 6 months time to put him in fit condition, what has happen? Anyhow he should put the ball on to strikers quickly enough no matter is he fat or non fat
Exactly. Fair point. I'm very happy with this team today although still no DCM. Barton will have to be very disciplined today.
The midfield was very exposed playing this way against Burnley. It's a hell of a risk given the pace in Reading's midfield. Onuoha not playing is, as always, an error IMO.
This wont be popular Watford but if Barton was swapped for Henry, id be delighted. Barton puts in effort, Wow. He's neither defensive not creative and still gives the ball away way too much for me. Henry will sit and protect and allow Niko to go and supply the ammunition needed. Onouha should start CB every game with Hill and Dunne rotating.
I see the theory but don't agree. We are effectively playing with one in the middle and if that one was Henry we'd be ****ed. Barton is far more mobile and does Henry's job better than he can do it himself for me. Oh for a fit Alejandro Faurlin again...
With Hoillett and Traore playing out wide, I fully expect Doyle to have a major impact on the game today.
Kranjcar looks very laboured to me, he often gets the ball in promising areas but just doesn't quite have the speed to make something happen...
The bastard child of Jermaine Jenas and Gary O'Neil would have contributed more to that half than Kranjcar.
exactly, wed be hopeless with henry there as he sits so deep hes almost a 3rd CB leaving the other CM on his own, henry cannot play in a 442.
This was why he could never get regular games with us (spurs) he had a period where he made an impact as a sub and scored some vital goals but overall would hardy start games as he doesn't have the ability or concentration to stay focused. Looking at the players you took from us or our ex players, Niko, Jenas and Benny, all liabilities and as Swords will tell you, you need little Tommy Carroll playing every week, whenever hes out you tend to lose!
