I watched the Tottenham match last night and this kid was fantastic, his control was first class his vision was excellent infact hes a top top player end of. So if there is the slightest possibility that we may get him for god sake Brucie/Quinny push the boat out and sign him on before others start sniffing around as he would imo move us on to that next level we all desperately want.

yeah i think thats the prolem now with this signing, if he didnt play last night, or he had a stinker, we may have had a chance, now that he did play and excelled, we have no chance.

I suspect we wanted to loan him and Spurs wanted a sale. I guess a lot depends on what happens to Modric and also if we can move a couple on. This could end up as a deadline day last minute thing.

After last night's demonstration of what he can do once again from Niko, i hope that he stays. If he doesn;t and goes to Sunderland, you'll have a cracking player on your hands.

With Modric on his way out (or probably) to chelsea, i dont think redknapp will sell Kranjar --> especially after last nights game.

I don't think anyone at Spurs wants him to go - he's a fantastic player and a potential matchwinner as he showed in midseason for us last year. The trouble is that a player of his quality is not satisfied with only 2 or 3 starts every year and our squad needs trimming. He certainly doesn't fall into the category of "deadwood" in the squad like Bentley or Jenas but we still may need to move him on. There were rumors of a falling out with Redknapp too, probably over lack of playing time. He's no central midfield player either IMO, certainly not in the Prem as he lacks the physical presence. He might cope against Arsenal but I reckon he'd get murdered against a more physical team (eg: Stoke, dare I say it!). If he went to Sunderland he'd probably be great for you, but as a previous poster said, a lot probably rests on the conclusion of the Modric situation.

Kranjcar is a good player. However, let's not get too carried away. He was given all the time and space he needed last night to run through his repetoire. He ain't gonna get that time & space in the Premiership.

    Sell the following

    Hutton
    Bassong
    Jenas
    Palacios
    Bentley
    Crouch

Arguably any would walk into most Premiership teams and improve them.

Add GDS to that list. You lot need a winger/striker type guy to replace Wellbeck?

I'd still sell Niko for the £12mill we're supposedly asking for but I don't think we should be in a rush to sell him.

Exactly, he works best when he has space - in behind a striker or out wide. Ordinarily he wouldn't get as much room to operate in central midfield, but he did against Hearts who were as bad as we were good on the night.

Have to agree with that. What's with the eyes? Also you have Larsson on it after he's played one game for you. Bit keen, no?

Took me about 10 mins to work out who Steve was... thought it was a Spurs thread <doh>

    It's a bit busy, isn't it?
The one in your sig is better, in my opinion, Syd.
    Simple and effective.
