I really feel sorry for him. He must have done a lot of damage staying on during extra time in the semi whilst struggling with it.
Shame , he obviously has been struggling since the semi . He did not look the usual Kranky on Saturday. Probably his last chance also to play in a WC
Really not enough time for a full hamstring recovery after the Wigan match - Harry had other options in the starting line-up for Wembley, and being subbed off so early in the match certainly put us on the back foot with options, especially after O'Neil was red carded. I guess all water under the bridge now (for QPR), but perhaps Harry was a little greedy using him, so Croatia could have a legitimate complaint and one less R's player to follow during the World Cup now.
Shame. I've enjoyed watching him this year, proper footballer though obviously he hasn't been at the peak of his game. It was him who seized the initiative for us after we went a goal down at home to Wigan, including continuous niggly fouling as well as some lovely skills. The curse of the QPR hamstring continues.
Yeh big shame for Kranjcar. I have enjoyed watching him too. Not sure whether he will be with us or not next season. I hope he is, and fully recovered.
Makes you wonder why we had permission to play him when he was carrying an injury, he'd have made the WC if he didn't play the final.
Perhaps Harry's WC deal with South Korea regarding Suk Yun was to keep him on the bench unless absolutely necessary - once Traore, a left sided player, who seemed to his footing on a damp pitch, replaced Kranjcar, I really didn't expect to see Yun, another LB/LW.
He defended well Traore at LB after O'Neill went off. For me he looks more comfortable there than further forward. He does not seem consistently able to hold the ball close enough to his feet to play on tight midfield that well. His runs and crosses seem more effective, when he starts back in more space than he often gets further forward.
