Hardly THAT weak was it? Your squad is full of strength in depth and all players play vital roles. You would've been unlucky to walk away from that with a loss though.

What no Vidic? Rio who is nowhere near fitness. Smalling only back after injury. A keeper struggling to adapt to English football. Rooney on the bench. Nani on the bench. Hernández on the bench.

Granted your strongest players weren't playing but Liverpool are hardly Barcelona, I'm just saying the side you put out wasn't weak - it was a compliment...

    First choice line up imo:

    De Gea
    Rafael-Vidic-Rio-Evra
    Nani-Anderson-Cleverley-Young
    Rooney-Hernandez

    Line up today:

    De Gea
    Smalling-Evans-Rio-Evra
    Park-Giggs-Jones-Fletch-Young
    Welbeck

So only four first team players started. It wasn't a weak team because our squad is so good, but it was very weak compared to our usual line up. To be honest, it was probably pretty close in quality to Liverpool's team, tho' maybe that says more about Liverpool than about us ;)

Your first point was basically exactly what I said, I disagree with your second bit though.

Also, Smalling is twice the player Rafael is IMO.

I'd also class the City game as more important, title wise, than this one. That's obviously why Fergie left the big guns on the bench.

It's hard to see how we can fail to be much weaker without Rooney, Hernandez, Nani and Vidic, regardless of how strong our squad is.

True. When you combine that with the must win CL trip to Romania on Tuesday it's pretty clear SAF was just hoping to get a draw or maybe grab a scrappy win in this game.

Agree our squad is strong but my point was that the actual line up in real times compared to what it can and should be was weak.

Anyway lets get back on track.

    EMF/KPR!! Muppet!!! <laugh><laugh><laugh>

Not sure what match you were watching but clearly not the one the rest were watching.

The line up was also weak tactically. I hate to critise fergie but you knew we were playing for a draw.

Whatever. SAF will be happy with a point, and I'd be surprised if he wouldn't have wanted that before kickoff. Rio stayed on the pitch cause the ref probably didn't think it warranted a 2nd yellow.

**** off you clown. Is every foul an automatic yellow card? He hardly touched him and certainly not enough for Adam to go down. You scored from a fortuitous set piece otherwise for the home side you were ****ting yourselves.

If you are seriously suggesting that Rio should have been sent off then you are obviously in favour of non-contact sport.

**** off you clown? well thanks for that.anyway when you are running at full pace do you not realise even the slightest touch will bring you down.and as pro footballers they are very aware of that, and you can see ferdinand did foul him.
