Should have been at Welford Road. Won't stop me going to watch Canada vs Zambia or whatever match that will be held at the KP.
Actually I have found the list http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/rugby-union/22381109 Sun 4 Oct - Argentina v Tonga (Leicester) Sun 11 Oct - Argentina v Africa 1 (Leicester) Tue 6 Oct - Americas 1 Europe 2 (Leicester) Personally I'll most likely miss the Tuesday match but will try to get tickets to the others - Argentina v Tonga is going to be a humdinger!
Why would it be? Each to their own and all that, but i'm happy we've been chosen. Extra money and all that.
Because it's Hull FC's stadium too, who are a rugby team, and is probably the best in their league (whatever it's called)?
The Rugby League World Cup has games at the KC and Craven Park, but we'll probably get **** games, though France and Papua New Guinea being based in Hull might increase the interest for some neutrals. I think we once had a Rugby World Cup game at The Boulevard(Hull FC's old home) and it was a crap tie that only a few thousand turned up for. I used to love The Boulevard, despite it being a ****hole. In addition to being home to FC, it was also the home of Hull Vikings speedway team and I was a massive speedway fan, before I ever went to a City game. To this day, I still love the smell of Methanol. Though I've now stopped drinking it.
They've had several incarnations, but were definitely only Hull Vikings when they were at The Boulevard(1971-1981), though I only went in the early 70's, before my pocket money switched to outings at Boothferry Park.
Im not happy about 3 egg chasing games happening on our pitch in the middle of the season Whats wrong with Welford Road. An actual rugby stadium? Wont Tigers have redeveloped the rest of it by then?
I thought the same. You'd think the biggest Rugby club in the country would host a game. Must be something to do with the logistics. Our pitch won't be harmed any more than 3 extra football games.
You really think 30 15stone+ blokes playing rugby 3 times on our pitch wont damage it more then some football
The pitch will be buggered - beforehand they will grow the grass longer and will water the pitch more to soften the ground which will make it easier to tear up. Is the main reason why Tigers don't ground share with us.
