Some more reports doing the rounds that Kos is out for another month. We have all seen this before with an Arsenal player. First it's a few games, then a few weeks, then a few months and by the time the player returns it's been a year. Wenger has f**ed up big time with this, by not buying a CB, he was forced to play a player who was struggling with an Achilles injury and those injuries can be very serious. When Kos went on International break, the French sent him back straight away, and that's when we decided to stop risking him. We have some utter morons at the club. I feel sorry for Kos, his season ruined by an imbecile of a manager.
Btw when Wenger says he will be back in a month, he's basically only saying that's when they will start to see if Kos can be out and running, he's not saying he will be back into the match squad after a month, so even that diagnosis doesn't sound very good. So in a month we could find out that Kos is still not ready. If Kos isn't even out running now, I don't see how in just 4 weeks he's going to be back in the first team.
Looks likely that he'll be out for at least a month if our fitness system is anything to go by. We really need to go to a more defensive style formation to paper over our defensive deficiencies. Two deep lying midfielder of Arteta and Ramsey/Wilshere should limit the damage. We need to play smart until the Jan transfer window and not drop too many points. Hopefully Wenger can see our shortcomings and alter things until we have our first team defenders back. Play boring functional football if need be as long as we get the required points to keep up with the rest.
We've been going about improving defensive deficiencies since the start of the season, the writing's on the wall that it's not going to improve anytime soon, especially with the personal at our disposable. Playing Monreal as CB, and playing Flamini as DMF, no matter what you do, is always going to leave you vulnerable. As much as Wenger always likes to talk about internal solutions, we needed external solutions to tighten up, a new DMF, and an extra CB for cover, Wenger did neither, and we have been paying for it since the start of the season with our very rubbish defending.
