Gone to Barnsley on a month's loan, good move for all parties that one, wouldn't be surprised to see it extended if he does well - which I reckon he will <ok>

Good move for him, be great to see him get a good run of first team football.
I'm sure he's got a future here, but he needs games. Hopefuly his time there goes well, and helps him grow further as a player.

Its disappointing when home grown players don't quite make it to the top. I would love to see a full eleven of guys who started with the academy and for a period in the 80's and 90's we had a few who came through and played
1st Division football, at times 4 or 5 in the team.
Chris, Korey, Tom have all played their part but just aren't going to make it into the 1st team in the Prem. Lets hope there will be a few nuggets in the academy that reverse the current trend.

Anyone know how Josh Dawkin is getting on? Think he's on loan at Kettering and big things are hoped of him.

He didn't playfor them last night. They won but are in the relegation zone and even worse, their financial situation is bad and they may yet fold.

I'd agree that Chris and Tom aren't going to cut it for us in the top flight. It's a shame, but I think the club has grown too fast for Tom, and Chris needs games in the Championship. Korey though, I'm not so sure. There's been enough promise shown to suggest he might can make it here. The loan's a good opportunity for him to grab hold of a first team spot, and show what he can do.

It would be lovely to see the acadamy producing the sort of quality we used to get through. That kind of production generally requires a continuity and stability that, for the first time in pretty much 20 years, we're in a position to rebuild. With the plans for the acadamy, these could be exciting times. Here's hoping.

bitt harsh maybe...we hae rudd, steer...while i would agree chrissy is probably playing at his level (palace), i think korey has a big future under lamber...and possibly adeyemi as well...lambert said he'd have been starting korey in the prem had he not picked up an injruy, and as he now wont break into with a sustained period of playing time, it makes sense for him to continue his education at barnsley...i think he'll be pushing for a start next season...adeyemi won apprentice of year not so long ago, and again lambert said had we not been promoted, that adeyemi would've been playing this year...if he isnt going to be playing week in week out, which is what he needs, it makes sense for him to have a full campaign and see where he is next year...

all in all i think it looks rosier than it has for while for us youth wise...keep hold of these 4 and we'll be able to fill the home grown quota when lambert gets us into the champions league in a couple of seasons tie...

    what?

I'd like to see Korey stay there until May I think he deserves half a seasons worth of football! According to Wiki it's his 21st Birthday today, lets hope he get's a goal too. At 21 years old I reckon he has bright future at this club.
